I debadged today

I debadged today... well, not me, but my clear bra installer did it for me. As he was leaving I mentioned I was going to remove some of the emblems today. He said he's done it thousands of times before, and asked if I wanted him to remove them.

Heat gun +1 minute later they were gone. No fishing wire, mint dental floss, goo gone, goof off... nothing. Damn glad I didn't decide to do it the way I had seen it done on youtube... If you're thinking about doing this keep it simple is the way to go... heat and plastic squeegee

heating the goo helps a bit more but its still easy as hell to use dental floss with goo gone and a little bit of wax and done. Ive gradually debagged the trunk now I have CF evolution X writing with the MR and the rest is gone. I like it this way.

edit: check sig for pictures lol

i almost think the back end looks naked without something there.

How about Evolution X across the back in the middle?

don't put the goo gone stuff on there or use fishing line.. as you can see from my pics all the glue stayed on the emblems... just buy a new plastic squeegee and get it really hot and slide the squeegee in left to right .. not top to bottom

I agree, I left the diamond and evolution badge.. the lancer and mits badge aren't even the same chrome color.. they don't match in the print and hue of chrome.. plus the lancer emblem is so close to the evo emblem its difficult to wax

Good choice! I left the logo, evolution and added the MR badge to mine as well! Totally naked looks too bare on this car.
