You can go cheapo and put vinyl on the rough or they sell a carbon fiber roof replacement.

Check it

if you get a carbon fiber roof you'd better be parking your car in a garage or at least have a car cover that you use often. The sun will absolutely destroy a carbon fiber roof.

Their a local guy in Irvine who I get it from. It's about $60 for the whole sheet and you can have some left over for the reflectors if you'd like.

I have actually been seeing alot of these too recently. Is it purely for aesthetics?

Yes, Vinyl Roofs are purely for aesthetics...

You can get clear Vinyl and apply it to the front bumper/fenders/hood to protect the paint... I think that's pretty much the extent of it's functionality.

You should search on google for vinyl wrapping shops in your area... they are all over the place. There are like 2 places within 5 minutes of my house where I live. Whenever you see a work truck/van with crazy graphics on it, that stuff was done at a vinyl shop 99% of the time. These places are just as happy to wrap any portion of your car. Depending on quality materials, a wrapped roof will typically run you anywhere from $200 - $350 (materials and labor).

Don't settle for any brand of vinyl either... there are specific brands that are made to go on the exterior of automobiles and endure the elements. Such brands will last you 2.5+ years or longer depending on how exposed your car is (garage/cover/outside parking etc).

I hear 3M 1080 series vinyl is the best for car exteriors.

Hope that helps

It's not cheap-o if your going for looks, baller... You got a carbon fiber roof?

I have the vinyl roof and it looks gorgeous and I can rip it off whenever I don't want it anymore AND it won't sun fade as quick.

I suggest 3M Di-noc, which looks really good.

They have some nice pix of or cars with a black roof. I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on this!
