The APR CF cooling plate doesn't have a..

The APR CF cooling plate doesn't have a "air guide" or snorkel from the front of the car to the intake, so I decided to try and make one. It came out ok. I need to clean it up some. I might make another one and make it look cleaner. Remember, this was basically a test/experiment to see how hard it was. It took about 4 hours for taking off the bumper, test fitting & cutting, painting, and putting everything back together..

I thought the paint I used was flat black, but obviously not. I might get it powdercoated red too.. not sure yet. Anyway, here are the pics.. Oh, and sorry for the crappy iPhone pics, it doesn't help that it was at night. :/

not bad.. question, other than the two bolts i'm seeing, are there any other bolts that you have? i suggest putting one near the crash beam or a bracket to hold it against running air through it..

Thanks guys. It definitely isn't the prettiest thing but it works well, and I will be perfecting it soon..

You mean to hold the front down? Well, if you look at the last pic, part of the bumper covers that. I guess I could make a bracket or something, but it doesn't move. It can't go further down, and it is at a pretty good angle-kinda hard to see in the crappy, dark pics..- to where it shouldn't move up. It's pretty sturdy.. Anyway, I might try something like that on the next one I made.

Yr-advance already makes a intake scoop like that. Pm Jason at BPauto to hook you up the pricing and part.

yea just additional thing to hold it down. don't get me wrong here, i was actually planning that too. it just so happens i did the same thing with my old cars and i was running around 130mph and i heard a noise then stopped..i saw that my custom mod was forced down by the air..not sure how fixed it is, but if you're running above 130+ mph it "might" fly away or something..it's upto you though..not forcing you to add anything with it, just giving a heads up, as i don't know how good it is mounted
