Still not sure if you could fit four wheels up there though.
I believe each crossbar has a 100 lb weight limit as well.

Awesome thanks for the links... I'd probably only need to fit two of the four tires up top, other two in side the car...am i reading what you're saying correctly by thinking that seeing as there are two bars, then the total weight would be 200 pounds on the basket?

just looked up the specs / instructions on the basket... its 140 lbs http://assets.yakima.com/resource/pr...e/instructions
Unsure which base bar set i'd need...or what the advantages are, looks like most rock the Q bar. I'd like the racks to be easily removable, obviously don't want em on there except to transport the wheels.
Get the q towers with the round crossbars. I had that set up on my civic and now on the evo I only had to replace two brackets to convert everything over.
Also, if you value your sanity, get the fairing. Mine was headache inducing loud before I installed it.
Do you use the brackets called out for the base Lancer? I already have all the set up from an previous car. Can you show a close up of how it attaches to the roof? Thanks.
Whats the benefit of the Q-bars though, just money, and universal attachment? whats the benefit to the other bars?
To be honest, the whisbar wasn't available when I bought mine. It does seem to be much sleeker, albeit, more expensive. You may want to ask around and see how people like it.
The clips are what are going in the door jambs. They are specific to the car the rest is universal.
Here's a pic on the Civic
