First off, holy sh*t to Ucsbryan. glad you're ok and awesome you're getting your car fixed.

Second, when I had my Celica years ago I had the XXR 962's as my daily wheels (CE28n's track wheels) and I hit the curb going 60 mph and was estimated at going air born for about 4 feet before landing in some bushes. Everything around the wheel was destroyed, TEIN coilover pretty much exploded, tire exploded, bumper and fender ripped off… However, the wheel just got about a 6" chunk chipped off the lip.

Idk though, I've seen pics of XXR's breaking, etc… maybe it depends on the style of the wheel? *shrugs* But I was pretty blown away to see the wheel still in one piece (for the most part)

hey foo, get off my forum lol . dude, those foo's who's xxr's break be on super stretched tires and stuff. 17x9.5 rim with a 205 tire...and get mad when they're wheels brake. I think even volks/works would damage in that condition.

. For a daily driver, that is perfect. To get any lighter I would have had to go with something 2-3 times more expensive and not near as sexy.
The stock enkei gsr wheels are about 22lbs.

XXR 21.1lbs each

I need to buy this wheels for my DIABLO

Looking in getting XXR 527s 18x8.75 +35 w/ Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires 255/40/18 lowered on GTWORX springs. It seems like this setup will be 8mm closer to the fender, 2mm closer to the suspension, and 4mm closer to the wheelwells.

Will these rub at all (complete turns, bumps, etc)?

Also, if I went with 18x9.75 +20 with 265/35/18 tires, it will keep all clearances the same but push the tire 28mm closer to the fender. Will this setup need the fenders rolled with GTWROX springs?

I ran 18x9.75 +20 with 255 tires & lowered on Swift spec R springs, and I did not rub. I do hear some people do rub with 265 tires and that you might need to roll your fenders.

Don't get those, you will regret it. Go with the 18x9.75 +20. Perfect fitment for the X. Go with a 245 tire (slight stretch) and you will not rub on those springs unless you are at full compression which will almost never happen.

Also, I don't know why everyone is so scared of rubbing. Slight rubbing is ok and will not damage anything. I feel like there's a slight "boogie monster" effect with rubbing - like people lose their minds when thinking of the possibility.

Just my opinion.

I rub slightly in the front on harsh dips but i'm on KW coils and dropped pretty aggressively. Again, zero damage to anything from the slight rubbing.

Been looking at these! More pics dude, please. Profile shot along the side of the car would be great to see how much (if any) they "poke".

I agree don't do it. Go 9.75 with the 20 offset. I ran 265x35 AD08's on it. I have a slight roll and it has never rubbed. Worth it. Looks SOOO much more aggressive. The offset you are looking at will looks sunkin in and whimpy. Also if you put the stock tires on the 9.75 wheels they seem to look wider from behind. And that's a good thing!

And if you haven't bought the Pilots yet, do yourself a favor and look at the Yokohama AD08R's. I'm on my second set. Last a long time and grip even when the metal is showing. (Yea I seem to get my monies worth, lol)

This is my car when I had GTWORX springs, XXR 9.75 and the stock tires. Stretch wasn't too bad. I think the photo makes it look a little more stretched than they are. I do, however, think 265 35 is a great fit.

Depends on how low you are. If more than 1.5" lower than stock, probably a little. If you rub, just roll the fenders a little at a time until you don't rub anymore.

Don't be skrd.

Just read this and my brain just exploded.
How are you running "flush" with that enormous spacer and those wheel specs?
Fender flares?

I run flush (in fact I'd argue that I "poke" slightly) with the exact same wheel specs and zero spacer. Doesn't matter what style wheels you are talking about, the specs determine where the wheel sits relative to your fender.

25mm = 1 inch

So you are basically a full inch more aggressive than I am. And you have the same wheel dimensions. Either Mistubishi sold me a one-off Evo, you have one-off narrower axles, or maybe you got the wrong wheels?

on a stock setup.... what's the clearance from the wheel to the fender before you have to roll the fender?
