Do Luck Trunk Issues..

Just got an authentic Do Luck trunk for my X. Moved everything over from the old trunk to the new one and the fitment is pretty off, the trunk won't even close. There's also a decent size gap between the edge of the trunk/car.. Anyone else have similar issues? Resolutions?

Just read a similar thread, you are not alone. Read it's pretty much "short" in length. Unfortunately the whole batch are identical.

Here's a link to a friend's do-luck problems, similar to yours. http://www.evoxforums.com/forums/sho...k+trunk+issues

The gap on the side of the trunk/car is bad but not bad enough that the water gets in there or anything (tried with thunderstorm and pressure washer). Aesthetically though its ugly if you're really close. The fitment on mine though is good, I'm able to close it fine with out problems. Also one more thing that's off is the alignment of the tail lights. The tail lights that is connected to the do luck is a little bit higher about 1/8 off and its really annoying too.

I have mine for almost a year now and I just learned how to accept the subpar quality of the trunk especially it cost almost a grand.

DuLuck trunks are junk, everyone has problems with them.

VIS Racing> all that. And it's made in Japan.

My Do-Luck trunk for my Evo IX also fit weird. It looked okay but you'd have to grab the inside of the bottom of the trunklid and kind of pull it outward so the latch would click shut when closing it. Switched back to the stock trunk and couldn't be happier.

My son has an authentic Do-Luck trunk. He got it in 2013. It fits pretty good and the gaps are reasonable as to be expected with a cf piece.

any updates on this issue? How was Bullet Proofs customer service in regards to this situation?

Thinking about getting the exact same piece in CF but need to make sure all issues have been resovled before dropping 1200 dollars

Surprised to hear people are having issues with fitment. The fitment of mine is spot on.
