Question about plasti dipping hood vents?

Hey y'all, I've got a 2012 MR and I much prefer the way the black GSR hood vents look. I'm thinking about plasti dipping them, but my question is: will this be bad for removing heat from the engine? I know those vents are for heat, has anyone done this/do you think it will be a problem?

(If this should be in the engine forum instead, just let me know)

Plasti dipping them would have absolutely no effect on how they function. They are vents...you'd just be changing their color.
