TPMS Programming and cost
I thought I would put out about my TPMS programming costs since a thread is listed about the costs (~$90 each) of the monitors....................... I had my after-market wheels/tires/sensor package installed by my dealership.... SouthBay Mitsubishi...... when I took delivery of the car. I had paid extra to have the after-market company install sensors that would fit and compliment my new wheels. The tires/wheels also came balanced. Southbay removed the OEM wheels/tires, installed my after-market wheels/tires, "programmed" the sensors...... and charged me $166.00!
I had assumed (incorrectly of course) that they would probably install the new wheels/tires pro bono. At the least......not charge me $166.00! Remember, I had just walked out of the sales office after writing a check for the whole price of the car. I just thought it was tacky and bullsh*t! I'm curious to what you guys think about this. Like I said...... I had JUST written a check for the whole $36,000+! OK...... so they didn't do it for nothing.... but $166!

incorrectly....... that they would just swap them out as a "courtesy" since I had "JUST" bought a car off of them or atleast charge me a "nominal" fee. I personnaly think it was tacky only because I am a businessman and I know how I treat my clients and what I would do in that situation. I am just curious if anyone else feels the same way I do? Either way...... no harm no foul!
