TPMS Sensor Programming

I just put on my spring wheels with a new set of TPMS sensors on them. Do you guys have any reccomendations on where I can take it to get reprogrammed? I want to try to avoid the stealership. Thanks in advance.

My tire shop couldn't do it. I also tried Firestone and they couldn't do it either.

I ended up doing it at my dealership for $47 dollars.

i hate tpms, totally unnecessary PIA! the most recent fords i've purchased for my company came with a tpms "calibration tool." so i guess ford people dont have to pay their dealership to calibrate? if so thats bogus.

then our know-it-all mechanic busted the sensor taking the wheels off after i explain what tpms was...."oh yeah tpms yeah what ever," then i see him standing there with the broken sensor, i'm sure he meant to do that.

Once they are caibrated, do you have to do it again if you go back to the original set of wheels?

from what i understand, you don't if you switch sensors between wheels right away and put them on the car.

Have different sensors on each set of wheels (winter set and summer set).

walmart CANNOT do it ... at least when I went to my local walmart they couldn't

the reason being ... the can reset normal average TPMS ... apparently Evo X TPMS needs to be reset at the computer not the sensor itself (which is what walmart is capable of)
