Quote: From looking at the thread the guy made on toyotanation, and also from reading a different thread about the quicket on a honda forum, the quickset can only read the codes of the sensors if they are the ones currently linked to the ECU. Unless they change/update the tool, i'm pretty sure it won't be able to read the codes directly from the sensors. I think all the data transmission on the quickset is done through either usb or OBDII and it doesn't have any wireless capability which is why its so affordable compared to alternative tools
aha! makes sense.

Same timeline I was told when I opened the thread. Guess they really are gonna release it in Nov. We'll find out soon I guess.

If we buy this now will it be updatable to support our cars in nov, or do we have to wait for nov to buy?

I just had a brief email exchange with Russ and he said that there is no ETA on Mitsubishi support at this time.

As a side note. I'm having some trouble with tire rack. I bought a set of wheels and tires with the TPMS sensors in them.

Tirerack didn't send me the serial numbers for the sensors. After calling them and going back and forth. Their CSR's position went from "we should've given those to you" to "You have to get them reprogrammed at the dealer to maintain your warranty and it's illegal for us to release the S/N to you.

I sent an email out to the sales guy on the order this morning about that and have yet to hear back.

What did russ say exactly? I've only emailed him a few times and sometimes when i ask him something he replies with one word emails yes or no.

That kind of sucks because I was waiting on this tool to get rid of the annoying service screen in the car. I'm gonna hate having to go to the dealer to do it.

Me - I am interested in the ATEQ Quickset TPMS device as I have a Mitsubishi, Honda and Infiniti all using TPMS sensors. I was wondering when support for Mitsubishi vehicles will be released on this device.

Russ - Thanks for your interest in our products. Unfortunately ATEQ has not announced when Mitsubishi vehicles will be supported.

Me - There are rumors and rumblings that you had said support would be coming in late November. Is this still an unofficial goal or has that timeframe been pushed back to no ETA behind the scenes?

Russ - There is no eta at this time.

That's all there was to it.

I had emailed them yesterday...not knowing about this thread. This is what he told me.

"ATEQ is saying by the end of the year. Keep checking our site for applications, we will update it as soon as it is available."

I'm hoping that is the case...as it looks like they support just about every other foreign automaker other than mitsubishi. If they would get support for Mitsu I would be jumping all over that.

Bartec 400 plus...... / thread. Any one local can PM me and I will be glad to do it for free.

It takes all of two minutes to do.

As a matter of fact, I will grab my camera and the tool, and make a video on how easy it is to do. It really is silly.

^^^^^^^ You're local just stop by and i'll take care of yours.

You guys will be SICK when you realize how easy it is to do. How the dealer gets away with it is beyond me.

The tool itself IS pricey as hell, but there has not been ONE vehicle that has come into my work where we were unable to reset the TPMS.

Vid for sure tomorrow.
