wow thats weird, different address to that place, and different response than what was given to me.

Whats even more weird, they're not working on lancers or evos? Isn't the lancer the most common of the mitsubishi models?

Either way, still some good news. Let us know if you hear more

So a 2003 galant made the list before an evo x? how did they come up with this starter list? I'm in no rush as my stock rims are now my winter rims but come spring I hope they have our cars added to this list. I plan on ordering rims as soon as winter is over.

Update...........

My response to ATEQ:

Jim,

I have a 2009 Lancer Ralliart. Unfortunately the updates you are planning for the end of the year still won't help me. I know a lot of people with Lancers, Lancer Ralliarts, and Evo's who would buy this tool if the tool was updated to accommodate our TPMS. It's very expensive for us to go back to the dealer every time we want to reprogram our TPMS. Thanks for the update though.

Best Regards,

Tony

ATEQ's Response:

Tony,

Appreciate for the feedback. We will work harder to make it happen as soon as we could.
Thank you again for the message. It’s always good for a manufacturer to know the direction when developing new products.

I will keep you posted.

Hi Arthur,

Thanks for your interest in our TPP Quickset tool.
We’ve been working very hard to make it becomes available for your Lancer.

I will keep you posted.

Subject: Question about ATEQ quickset tool

Hi, I wanted to ask if the ATEQ quickset will work for a 2008 mitsuibishi EVO X (lancer evolution). There is a somewhat large group of us Evo/lancer owners that the specific problem of being overcharged at dealers every time we switch between winter/summer wheels and the quickset seems like a very affordable solution, but it doesn't seem like there are any Mitsubishis on the list of supported vehicles. Please let me know if ATEQ is updating/adding cars to the support list if you can, thanks.

Arthur

My local Costco uses the Genisys tool by OTC/SPX. I just spoke to them (OTC) and the new version apparently has pretty good support for 08-09 Asian models including the EVO. The person I spoke to said he had a tool with and checked it while I was on the line.

http://www.otctpms.com/support/version.php

However, the update is likely to be released for general availability by the end of January. So for those of you with costco mounted tires, you may be in luck soon.

You guys need to realize that if the tool does not have a way to COMMUNICATE
directly with the ECU to the vehicle,(OBD II connector) it will do NOTHING for you.

The tools job is to grab the information off of each sensor, and then to re write the information to your ECU and let the car know where each of these sensors are. Without an OBDII port, you just cannot do it.

I hate to tell you guys that the Bartec tool is really the only one that will work at this point in time, this is why it costs so much more.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I would hate to see someone go out and buy one of these just to be disappointed.

ATEQ is weaksauce I'm tired of waiting for their super affordable tool that doesn't support our cars.....

Does anyone know a decent dealer in NJ that won't charge an arm and a leg for this and won't go voiding my warranty for basic mods when they reset my TPMS?
