not to make your heart broken but, TPMS when cloned are activated, meaning the battery life is ticking. And yes, your car's TPMS battery life will last from 5-7 years but i doubt the clones. I would then print the car's original TPMS IDs in order not to confuse with number '8' and letter 'B' and number '0' and letter 'D'. And, when you remove the defective TPMS (you need the garage to determine which one, a $60 charge), find the ID and just clone this ID to the new TPMS, another charge that will end up to at least a $100. There is your cloning TPMS charges coming in...DIY tool I believe will be the best as the this thread suggests...and I am not sharing garbage, I am just a newbie here and my headaches on the TPMS started when I found that I need to go to the dealer to do the relearn process twice a year!

No hearts being broken here.

The cloned sensors that we use have a power save mode in which they turn dormant when they don't sense rotation.

The minimum we've seen from these sensors in 3 years. When the batteries are used up, I swap them out for another set from my seller, at no charge. He's very good about it. He also reads my IDs for free, all I have to do is go visit him at his shop. Sometimes I get lucky if he's around my neighborhood and he drops by instead.

He also rents out his TPMS reader for a low fee so that you can do all this yourself, for much much less than $100.

I had my stock TPMS sensors read and wrote down the codes and kept track of which wheels they're on. If they run low, I use a TPMS scanner to see which one is faulty and give my seller a call.

How much are you paying for a new stock set of TPMS anyway? Will the place you buy it from exchange it for another one if its defective?

CAD 40/ea for VDO redi-sensor, 7001, replacement for 4250B975, no need for programming, install then relearn process. And no, supplier won't replace the TPMS if it dies early, 3 years minimum. With cloning, i have not find any supplier doing that here in Toronto. US market has better alternatives. At least the garage will lend you the trigger tool.

$40 a sensor is pretty good.

If you can't find anyone doing that in Toronto, why not just buy from the US?

There is a guy on here that can make you a set of cloned tpms sensors and have them already pre programed when he sends them to you. So you just install them and your good to go! here is a link to the guys thread that is still doing them https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ve...your-dash.html

i think the VDO redi-sensor is a better choice than clones since i purchased already the ATEQ mitsureset and ATEQ VT30

Any reason why? I can't imagine shipping would be that expensive for 4 sensors and 4 valves.

before knowing the cloning TPMS. I already purchased the TPMS sensors from my dealer for big bucks which I removed later after knowing I need to do the relearn twice a year. It was a stupid mistake to remove these as I need to put these back now but I need the service kit since I cannot put back the old rubber grommet and nut. And considering that the VDO-redi sensor sells for CAD40/pc while the service is $20/pack, I may just purchase new sets. The tool that i pruchased was expensive but again, it will pay for itself. Cloning nor purchasing from the US is out of my plans. Better to be local only where I can drive and purchase/inspect the units in person. Maybe there are sens-it sensors here too, just cannot find these from web searches.

I ship sensors to Canada all the time - It runs about $20-25 more than shipping to the US.
