I'm never going to give on this thing, its gotten too personal now...

http://www.orangetpmsusastore.com/pr...=75&product=80

The Gen II reader, can read OEM sensors and write the same IDs to orange sensors so U can have 2 sets of sensors with the same IDs. When you swap wheels/tires no reprogramming needed. A bit pricey. I sent an email asking which model number to use for the sensors for 08+ evos today

Keep us updated, this kind of tool/tpms would seem like our only easy solution.

Thank you for contacting us. At this time we do not have the sensors that you need in stock. They are in development. Lead time is still few months away.

FYI:

Mitsubishi has installed a special antennae in the OE sensors on a few of their vehicles which makes them incompatible with most aftermarket sensors.

Sincerely, Lisa

Comments: I have a 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution and the OEM part number is 4250A225. I want to buy a gen II reader/programmer and 4 corresponding programmable sensors for my car but can't seem to find sensors that fit my car on the site. Please let me know if they are available, I am interested in buying soon.

damn mitsubishi with their freak "antennae"

Yeah, thanks here too. I am going to refuse to pay bucks to Mitsu for this, will just live with my DD annoyance on the rims I have, and get used to the "surprise" factor after doing track swapping where my Enkeis actually will make the dam dashboard warning go away for a while. The track isn't the place you want your dashboard display nagging you.

I may try to look later today to see if any Orange documentation has changed for our cars and send them an email but bare with me. Just got back today from vegas on a red-eye and just woke up after passing out when I finally got home.

To tell you the truth, I have ignored the TPMS light since I've gotten my second set of wheels and now it's just like my previous car that did not have TPMS where you should be actively involved with you checking your tire pressures at least once a month. it's second nature now to reach over and hold down that "info" button after I start my car.

Question

*bump*

Any updates on this? Winter is coming soon, and I'd like a TPMS solution for my winter wheel/tire set.

Wow, I just bought a ralliart and shopping for winter tires...you're telling me there has been no DIY TPMS sensor register tool for the Lancer...in over 3 years!?

I guess I'll try to find a shop to do it (a shop did it on my Tacoma for Free!) or just deal w/ the "idiot" light.

I wonder if someone could cross reference some part numbers and see if the Eclipse ones would work with the Evo/Lancer on the OEM side of things... Because if they work there, they will work with the programable ones

According to autopartswarehouse, the dorman oe replacement TPMS is the same part #s for 2008 Evo and 2006-2009 Eclipse.

I couldn't find the eclipse mitsu part# for the TPMS, but the Evo is 4250A225 if someone wants to try cross-referencing.
