I just installed mine yesterday, and will try them out at the track this sunday! Thanks again for the DIY how-to.

This brake duct mod is making it's rounds around the Internets! I have a couple of friends putting them on their NSXs.

I can confirm goofy's abuse of braking component at Hallett. It is very hard on pads and fluid. ...and even rotors once you get to that point. I had a similar experience with my Prelude once I started tracking it. Once I was comfortable with the car and the track and went to R-comps, the street tires and DOT4 fluids just weren't enough any more. The Prelude may not have the power of the Evo, but with Integra Type-R sized brakes on a 3200lb car the brakes were definitely getting over worked. I destroyed a set of HP+ in 3 20 minutes session, so my day was done with half of it left...and I still had to drive home!

The control arms are quite similar between the X and IX. You shouldn't have any issues doing this on a CT9A.

So they way the OP has the duct doesn't direct air toward the rotor, it actually directs air away from the rotor.

Here is the way I set the ducts up, which actually directs air towards the rotor.

You want the air blowing directly on the caliper...

To be perfectly honest, this duct system really only works for the occasional track day and won't really help for heavy track use. For that you need a ducting solution that blows air hard on the caliper/ rotor interface, either from the back or at the spindle. PM me if you want some solutions on how to do this.
