Odd Suspension Combo
Odd Suspension Combo
So I finally received my AST 4100 coil overs last week, and shortly thereafter learned that Robispec was going to be in NJ this week. I was stoked. There isn't a better person to set these bad boys up for me. Perfect timing.
I leave the car with Robi last night, and call him this afternoon to check on his progress with the install/alignment/corner balance. To my surprise, he informs me that I am missing the bearings to connect the shocks to the stock front topmounts. Apparently AST didn't provide these with the shocks. I admittedly know very little about suspension, so this isn't something I was going to notice upon receiving them in the mail. By the time Robi realized we were missing these bearings, the rears were already installed.
Right now I am sitting on my Eibach pro kit springs in the front and AST 4100s in the rear. I'll be driving this mutt of a suspension around for the next few weeks until I receive the parts from AST and Robi heads back to NJ.
My AST 4100 review will have to be put on hold for a few weeks. Not exactly the happy ending I was hoping for with my new shocks
Needless to say, I'm pretty annoyed about the whole situation.
On a better note, Robi is an awesome guy and it was great meeting him. He was a busy man these past few days, and did a hell of a job working me into his schedule. I can't wait until I have the ASTs installed in the front and have a real setup, fully dialed in by Robi.

Well that sucks. Did you contact Myles or AST directly?
