After Install Brake pad Question??

So, I am at 21,980 miles and finally needed new pads. After reading multiple reviews I went with the Girodisc Magic Pads. I had my local shop, that has done all maintenance, install pads and re-surface rotors then they did the bedding..........I was scared ****less when i left the lot and tried to stop. Compared to sotck they feel horrible. The initial bite is greatly reduced and stopping at highway speeds was scary also, not what I am used to. I was told that they need 100-200 miles to properly break in. Is this true?????????????? I just racked up 60 miles and while the pedal doesn't feel as spongy as it did with the very worn stock pads, the breaking force is nowhere near............
Has anyone had experiance with these pads?? I thought as soon as they were bedded they were good to go. INPUT??????????

usually the only break-in period is hard braking..

Shop did it because they re-surface every time they do pad install.

Just got back and pedal feel is better than before, but they do not bite as hard as before. Anyone??? I know there are plenty of Girodisc customers here.......

they don't know what they're doing, call girodisc and ask Martin how he would suggest bedding in those pads. no need to cut rotors with 22K unless you ran the old pads down to the metal. http://www.girodisc.com/pdf/Installation.pdf

No problems with my Girodisc Magic pads. They work great as a street pad, even in the rain.

My stock rotors had about 23,000 miles on them when I installed my brake pads. No resurfacing was done, and I bedded them in real good (over 10 stops from 70 to 30 on the highway without stopping, then driving for 20 minutes straight so they could cool). The rears started to squeal about 200 miles later, then after about 500 miles, they were quiet.

This is an automatic red flag that your shop doesn't know what they're doing. They probably didn't bed the pads right, either. Sounds like they glazed them.
