Hey everyone,
So I recently purchased my 4th Evo this past Tuesday. I went from a 2008 GSR to a 2010 SE. I have noticed a significant difference when I brake in the SE compared to the GSR. The pedal feels different and the amount of pedal pressure I need to apply to stop has increased from the GSR. I figured this was a due to having the SST trans, however I wanted to ask here to see if anyone else noticed something similar when going from the GSR trans to a SST trans...
My old GSR seemed to stop very easily and it was smooth, but now in the SE, I have to apply more pedal pressure, and its not smooth, so coming to a stop I feel like I start to brake too late and end up with a more aggressive stop than what I was wanting....
thanks in advance

New car, fresh brakes, slightly more weight... I think you should give it some time really... And were you using the same stock pads with the car you sold or were they replaced by something better performing already?

Thanks for the response. To answer your question I am comparing stock pads to stock pads. I think you have a good point that I need to give it some more time, I only have few hundred miles on this one so far. I found that on my last 3 Evo's all were manual, and the brakes all felt the same, that's why I was wondering if it had may have something to do with the only change in the cars...that being the SST trans.
thanks,

Engine braking is also weaker with the SST as far as I know (if you're not in super sport mode)...Originally Posted by locam
