I got hawk ceramics.

Got them from this site. http://importrp.com/ Cheap fast delivery free shipping installed them myself. A brake job w/ brake fluid flush for 210$ Can't beat it.

What's the difference between the magic pads from MAP and the ones from Girodisc directly?
1) http://www.maperformance.com/girodis...p1-2-0047.html
2) https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...agic-pads.html

Seems like the MAP ones are the older version w/ the adapters. But maybe MAP just hasn't updated their site w/ the new version.

Call girodisc and ask them if they sold the new versions to MAP; my guess is yes based on the GD thread dating back to some time in 2010. GD was very helpful to me when discussing some rotor theory in a custom brake experiment I'm running. I think the dude I talked to was Johann?

The website hasn't been updated, I honestly never even go on our site anymore. All the pricing and information is in my head. If you need Magic pads let me know, I sell about 10 sets a week!

I have 60000 miles and still have plenty of the original brembo brakes left. When they go giro disc ftw.

Hey guys I purchased a used 2010 GSR with 9900 miles. I drove the car home and around town. The next night I started hearing a screech. I only hear it occassionally when creeping to a stop or going in reverse slowly to a stop. The Mitsu dealer I bought it from said they checked the pads and they were fine. He thought it was just some dust and it should go away. Should I go and do some hard stops or just keep driving like normal to see if the dust wears off? I hope the dealer is right. I was hoping to put some money toward an intake but its a no brainer if I need to put the money to brake pads. Just seeing if anyone had the same issue? Thanks

My guess is the pads are glazed, go do a few fast hard stops and see if that helps. Performance pads need heat and aggressive stops to keep them fresh.

Thanks Kracka! I will try that. Probably why they never made one peep on the 8 hour drive home since they stayed plenty warm. Just hope I don't have to keep bedding them or deal with the squeel.

Well I tried the hard stops and still get a random squeak from time to time. I called the dealer back and he said he knows their shop said the pad life was fine. He suggested I spray the wheels down and see if that helps. If not I'm supposed to call them back and he will bring it up to the manager. Hopefully this will help.

Lots of squealing is 100% normal on stock pads.

Does that bother you guys? How do i know if it's normal squealing or bad and digging in the rotors?

With 9k miles, it's normal. The pads are ok. Washing your wheels and spraying the hose through the wheels in between the rotor and pad helps too. I bought some wheel cleaner that you spray on and leave and use to spray it through the wheels on the rotors. it eats any brake dust and cleans them. That helps. Eventually I just replaced the pads myself, only takes a couple minutes. I bought some Racing Brake ET500's from Maperformance for a great deal and haven't had a problem since.

They are great pads. Almost no dust, no noise, and GREAT bite over other DD pads.
