Average cost for powder-coating?

I know this should go in the wheels section, but I'm calling a guy tomorrow so I'd like a quick response.

I was looking at powder-coating the stock wheels black. I talked with a guy on the phone and he said he had to check a price on the glaze. Apparently there is a glaze to put over the powder-coating job.

My question is, what's the standard rate for powder-coating 4 wheels?

Thanks!

Around here 70-90 per wheel is the norm. Never seen lower than 70 locally.

Oh, is it better to just leave them be? I'm getting a new set of rims next spring, but had an itch to do something now. These would pretty much turn into my winter wheels.

And thanks for the replies!

This +1

There have been a few posts about ordering lower temp curing powders.

The way I understand it is if its forged, dont powdercoat unless it can be baked at a lower temperature to not affect the structural composition.
If its cast, it doesnt matter.
