Places besides dealer that can program TPMS

Has anyone here had their TPMS sensors reprogrammed by any other place besides the dealer?

I called pepboys and they dont do it.

I called sears and the tire department was closed....will call back tomorrow.

I see that walmart offers the service on their website but the tire department was closed when i called.

Any chain tire shop should be able to do it. I've had Discount Tire reprogram the TPMS system on our 370Z a couple times.

Do you know how much places charge to get them reset? Also do I need to reset them every time I change out my summer and winter tires?

You need to be very clear about the system we have in Evo Xs. Most shops have a Bartec 300 or equivalent, which can only "ping" the wheels. This works on a majority of cars with TPMS, but it doesn't work on an Evo X. For our cars, they must have the $1600 Bartec 400, not the much cheaper 300. As I wrote in the other thread a moment ago, the only other option is a Mitsu tool and I've never found a tire place that had one of those.

I purchased the mitsureset tool and VT30 trigger tool and yes, this tool with the trigger tool can do a relearn process but i need to do a factory reset everytime I program a new car. Works only on outlander, rvr, lancer...
Eclippse requires standard odbII....EVO according to ATEQ will work on this tool too.
