New Rotors?

In late October I made an appointment to get new brake pads at my dealer ship when I had ~23,000 miles on my 2010 GSR. They said I was only half way through the pads and they didn't need to be replaced, I had flushing of the differentials done. Today I went to a local midas just to get an oil change and tires rotated, they told me that all 4 rotors need to be replaced, in that time I've only put on 5,000 miles. They said that the rotor was developing a lip. I do drive spiritedly to and from work, I do no track days, and do a majority of my braking with the engine. Just wondering if Midas is trying to screw me, or if my dealership was lying to me. I'm not very mechanically inclined. I just find it hard that what my dealership said I didn't need 4 months and 5,000 miles ago, used for preventative maintenance has now caused a problem.

The guys at Midas don't have a clue what they're talking about.
