A tpms solution proven to work
I have a question: if I let a set of wheels with these (programmed) sit in my garage for lets say, entire summer, do I have to "wake" them up when I put the wheels back on in the winter?
I have a 2012 MR.
I have a 2012 MR.
has anyone tried using these on a 2013 yet? Just wanted to see if they updated the software to work with 2013 VINS, also anyone in NY have this setup and could clone my TPMS for a price?
HA! That last post is for sure right. I was here about to flame Sam's Club because the RFID scan they gave me didn't work and required N.G.S. to program twice and I had to find a shop that could read it Hexidecimal. Go Figure! Good find NGS!
So anyway, Firestone was able to get my Hexidec, and Sams only Dec, but I just tried converting all of the decimals that Sam's Club gave me and they converted exactly to the correct (and now working!!) hexidecimal numbers!
Who knew...? *ugh* Its all set now! Highly recommend this approach. Now I won't have to pay anyone to touch my TPMS (unless a sensor ever goes bad, knock on wood).

Yeah. I've had two go. One after just a year. The other three years out.
They use a non-standard battery that's resistance welded to some tabs so its not a quick or easy repair.
Still, it's easier and cheaper than 1hr labor per car twice a year!

Possibly an option. Found out that the Snap-on TPMS3 tool can program several of the aftermarket sensors now. I'm trying to find a programmable replacement for one of mine that went bad. NGS has been MIA, maybe he's on vacation...

I got my TPMS sensors from NGS about 2 weeks ago. He's still around, just not on as much it seems.
Well, couldn't wait any longer for a response, so I ordered a replacement from Myers. Turns out its dead and won't respond at all. Luckily a local NAPA had an Echlin programmable in stock, part number is 92-1096C for those interested. Now I have to try and get a refund from Myers... (Yeah, right)
Sens-it is now selling directly on Amazon

It looks like they updated the sensors and they're cheaper than Myers was selling them for.
20% off through the end of Oct. too (coupon code is in the listing)
