X springs

Hey guys,

Looking for opinions for best quality and performance in lowering springs.

Going to be running 18x9.5's most likely and also live in MA where potholes and driveway entrances wreak havoc on lowered cars.

Any suggestions on brands and even acceptable drops from anyone that needs to deal with the same issues on a daily basis.

Thanks guys,
Mac

I know you said you drive it daily, but do you plan to track the car? autocross? drag race? What you plan to do with the car is important when it comes to recommending parts.

For a street only car where you just want a drop for cosmetic purposes - I went with the Eibach Pro-Kit springs. I dont have the factory aero kit or any aftermarket lips and there is still plenty of clearance. I can take most driveways straight on and I dont need to creep over speed bumps.

I posted pics in a thread comparing the pro-kit ride height to stock.

very much doubt the car will go anywhere but the street and maybe, once or twice to a drag strip. it wont be used competitively, only for fun. My sportbike is going to eat all my track funds, so shouldnt be an issue.

Just for street use for cosmetic and the minor performance gain.

For use with OEM dampeners, either the regular Swift springs or the Swift Spec-R. Spec-R will lower the front by about 1/2" more than the standard Swift. Both will lower and stiffen the suspension without slamming. Both have good ride characteristics w/o the bounce of Tein or Eibach.

Three springs I recommend for street duty:
Eibach Prokit (I've personally had these for 40k miles of daily-driver use and love them)
Swift Sports (had them on my IX, they were a good all-around spring)
GTWorx (get these if you want a minimal drop, but improved performance)

i have swift spec-r. drop is hardly noticeable, but cornering/handling is improved over stock. great for a daily driver.

I just installed GTworx springs this morning , so far so good feels stock driving around and the drop is perfect (so far) for daily driving in my opinion.

I'm looking into these the car is not a daily driver just for fun and planning on some drag and maybe some road course driving . Did you get an alignment or camber kit after install? I'm also planning on running a 18x9.5 does the rear fender have to be rolled

I'm going to put some miles on it before i get aligned so everything has time to settle in , the car feels stiffer but not bouncing around like other springs I've had in the past , I've heard a lot of good things about these springs so i decided to go with them. I don't believe they have to be rolled I'm planning on running the same 18x9.5 soon
