brake bleeding issues:/
haha yeaa, well the only reason i posted that is bc i read somewhere that if theres air in the mc, you have to bench bleed it. why wont it work if i just fill the reservoir and bleed normally? i guess thats my question
The problem comes from where the hose leaves the MC. if it doesn't leave in what is effectively the top corner, then you'll never push the air out it into the hose (and then down the line to the caliper and out). In that case, you have to take the MC off the car to get all the air out of it, unless you have a way to lift and tilt the whole car, tee hee.
lolz- shows how much i know. guess the fluid is too viscous for a bubble to move thru it at such a low angle.
in other news: i was reading the fsm.... says to bleed the mc, all u gotta do is unscrew the two lines, plug the two outlets (with ur fingers) as if they were acting as ur bleeder screw, then just bleed it like u wuld bleed lines normally

also, called mitsu, spoke to a service rep (now we all kno how great and reliable they are so take what u hear with a grain of salt), but i was like "shuldnt i have to bleed the mc since i let the reservoir run dry?" hes like... nawwww you shuld be fine. im like k lol.
ALSO: in the magnus cmc install... it says nothing about bleeding the mc after installation, it literally says to just "fill reservoir and bleed lines as normal" .... soooo... yea, idkkk what i should do:/

Do your bleed in order. Make sure your bleed screws are closed. Pump your pedal till its firm. Start you car and let it idle, pump your pedal again till its firm. Bleed brakes in order again while the car is at idle. Shut off, pump again till firm, bleed one last Time in order while the car is off and go test drive
I used a motive power bleeder, but if you have some one pumping your brake pedal you will be fine. I did new Ss lines, Repainted my calipers, new rotors and pads. Had the car apart for a month doing the calipers. My master cylinder was dry for a month(other than the clutch cylinder part in the brake master cylinder) my brakes are very very firm

Having the engine on (i.e., idling) means that the brake booster will be helping you push the pedal. I prefer to bleed without the help, since the feel of the pedal is one way to know when you've succeeded.
No I didnt bleed the master cylinder. Just filled up and bled as normal. I didn't bleed my slave cylinder neither since it is separate.
