I am considering the Hankook Ventus V12 Evo (K110)
Ben from tire23 (local shop in Mississauga) recommended I look at the Continental Extreme contact DW

The continentals are about 100$ cheaper.

Have anyone used any of these tires? or perhaps might recommend something else?
Keep in mind "bang for buck"

Thanks
I would take DW's over V12's even at the same price point or higher. At $100 less the money you save is a bonus as the DW's are the better tire. Kind of a poor mans pilot super sport as they are great street tires with decent track grip and superior wet performance.

I opted to try a set of Cooper Zeon rs3-s for daily driving.

http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...%2FPerformance

I know most on this site think Coopers are crap but I found several favorable reviews and it is the official tire of the Roush Mustang if that means anything. Digging around other forums revealed the same thing I found here Cooper has a value tire reputation but people who have actually bought these like them.

I got them for $150/tire a hard price to beat for a Y speed rating. For this price I figure I can live with them for a couple of summers, my Evo must be defective it seems to melt tires

]I have the V12s on my 350Z. They have been excellent - dd and on the track.

They are the best 'value' summer tire in each of the reviews i read. You could spend more to get 'best' but if price is a concern (and it is for me) the V12s are 'it'....

I intend to replace the tires on my RA with 'em when they are due...

check price on the michelin pilot super sports while you are at it.

couple of guys seem to recommend the Sumitomo HTR Z III as a lower cost alternative.
Michelin Super Sport was $1290.00

also Bridgestone Re760 $970.00

the michelins are great and can do double duty for a light track tire but if you are buying track tires and wheels next year, no reason to pay more for them. just get a good daily driven tire.

i think the DW might be your best bet and it was your cheapest option. i really dont know how they compare to the bridgestones.

i would put the v12 at the bottom of the list.
