I have had the hawk hps pads on for about 25,000 miles now (my evo is a dd). I really like them. Actually looking to get new break pads now because it is time too. I'm going to look around to see what else I can buy but I'm pretty sure I will be getting these again. Low dust, very good stopping power (both better than OEM), and you get an occasional squeal from them. Hope I have helped somewhat!

Thanks for that. I too am looking for new pads that i can DD on but won't eat my oem rotors or turn to cheese on an occasional track day. I also don't like dust. Noise i can deal with. Sounds like Hawk HPS might be the pads that fit the bill.

Centric replacement rotors and the Hawk HPS would work great. I have many happy people, myself included, on the HPS. Works well for aggressive street and dd styles.

Hawk HPS are a decent street pad. I run them on my Evo X. The dust a bit but I have black wheels so it doesn't really matter.

Never had HPS on Evo, but two other cars I ran (one still has them in the front) made me never to use them again. Overall, they are OK, but you have to step on the pedal much harder than some other pads I used. DS2500 is pretty much the stock replacement (ithout stock price) and what I have on the car.

My next replacement is coming out as soon as I get set of new rotors that are in proces of being built. I am looking at around $300 each for OEM replacement rings, so if that goes through, there will be another option for us instead of paying arms and legs to dealerships. Those will most likely get Carbotech AX6 pads all around, since Autox is important part of the picture aside of daily driving duty
