thank you road race.. I have been holding off on ordering the springs until i saw instructions. i even requested installation instructions in every "spring" related forum.. all of a sudden.. there they are!
We have been wanting to do it for a while. I have been too busy. Besides, Gabriel has installed dozens of springs on Lancers. He is the expert!

I just did my install- got done about an hour ago. The article is excellent and all of the directions are accurate. I encourage everyone to find an impact wrench to help loosen all of the factory tightened nuts and to spin the nut off of the top of the struts.
There are only a few additions that I have:
1) remember that you have to loosen the lug nuts while the car is still on the ground (doh!) and then you can take the tires off while your car is in the air.
2) Remove the brakeline from the strut first. It makes using the impact wrench in there easier.
3) When you're aligning the strut after reassembly you can turn the plate that fits through the strut tower. No need to worry about it until its going back in place; when you need to align the bolts with their holes. Keep in mind that one of the three has to be in the same direction as the lower strut mounts.
4) On the rear Progress springs the narrow part goes on top. They mislabeled mine, so it was good that I did them one at a time and made sure that the new matched the old.
b) It's really hard to tell on the front springs which side is "UP" If yours are like mine, the sticker will be on the bottom (yep, had to tear it down a second time to fix the pop that was coming from my fronts).
5) I can't stress this enough- install your new sway bar AFTER you do your springs. What a friggin headache. Better yet, since there are only two nuts holding the swar bar in place take them off.
That's about it. I love the new ride quality and she drives like she's on rails. Thanks Gabriel!!
