as far as fixing the trunk.. here is a little story. when i had my second car a 84 accord, i bought a newer car and turned the hatchback 84 into a rally car. sure it isnt ideal for rally, but at the time anything that you could drive on gravel and could fix yourself, and find parts for seemed to be ideal for a rally car. i took out everything inside and sprayed the inside trunck and floor with herculiner. sure it sounds a little cheesy but when i reallied i would get it so dirty and dusty in there. i had plastic seats and would just power wash the inside. after i pulled out a few of the drain plugs. it looked pretty good, and did the job well. have the trunk sprayed, easy cleanup and makes a great sound deadener. just my $ .02. good luck.
