yeah... every mitsu cept the EVO = 7,500 miles for free scheduled maintenance

EVO = 5,000 for free schedule maintenance

The 7,500 mile service for regular Mitsu's are fine... i'm worried about that 5,000 miles for EVO's =/

Same for me. I just talked to the sales manager at Stevens Creek Mitsubishi and he said free maintenance was canceled in October for '05 cars. He said it was in place for August and September to boost sales and then Mitsubishi decided to pull it back in October. What a bunch of @!#$!

well, the owner's manual says 3 months of 3,750 miles whichever comes first for the severe maintenance schedule, but for the Free Maintenance Program it has to be 5 months of 5,000 miles whichever comes first if you want it to be free..

hmmm, i don't know who your guys have getting this information from, but on the website it clearly states:

Lancer Evolution - Best Backed Sales Event - '04/'05 models retailed from 7/1/04 through 10/31/04

now, the only thing affecting eligibility is whether or not the dealership is enrolled.

Do they say something about driving in temps above 92 degrees should constitute a more severe maintenance schedule?

If you actually read what it says, I don't think it says what you hope it does:

"BEST BACKED CARS IN THE WORLD™.*
COVERAGE COMES STANDARD.

2004 and 2004.5 MODELS

At Mitsubishi, we strongly believe in the quality and reliability of each one of our vehicles. That's why our 2004 and 2004.5 models are backed with an unparalleled trio of warranties: an extensive 10-year/100,000 mile Powertrain Limited Warranty**, a 7-year/100,000 mile Anti-Corrosion/Perforation Limited Warranty and a 5-year/60,000 mile New Vehicle Limited Warranty on every new 2004/2004.5 vehicle purchased starting on November 1, 2004.

And, when you purchase or lease any new 2004 or 2004.5 vehicle by November 1, 2004, free scheduled maintenance for 3 years or 45,000 miles, whichever comes first, is included1.

2005 MODELS

At Mitsubishi, we are so confident in the quality, reliability and durability of the cars we build that we are backing all of our 2005 models with our most extensive warranties. This list is headed by a 10-year/100,000 mile Powertrain Limited Warranty***, a 5-year/60,000 mile fully transferable Bumper-to-Bumper New Vehicle Limited Warranty, a 7-year/100,000 mile Anti-Corrosion/Perforation Limited Warranty and 5-year/Unlimited-miles Roadside Assistance. So now, when you drive off in your new Mitsubishi, you'll leave with even more peace of mind, knowing you can enjoy it to the fullest for many years to come.
So, basically, 2004 and 2004.5 Mitsus sold before November 1 are eligible for the free scheduled maintenance. This page does not mention any such program for 2005 models regardless of when they are purchased.
