Actually, I got a call from the fleet sales rep from the dealership that sold me my MR saying that the free maintenance is not currently available on 2005 Evos. Mitsubishi is currently evaluating whether or not to reinstate it at a later time. The sales rep said he did not know if the free maintenance would be retroactive if it was re-instated at a later date.

as long as the dealership you're servicing it at signed up for it, you've got it. it is available, just depends on the dealership.

for EVO's it's every 5 months or 5,000 miles up to 45 months or 45,000 miles. this is what would be free. if you decided to bring it in every 3,500 miles (severe maintenance schedule) it will not be free. as long as it falls into schedule with the regular maintenence schedule (every 5,000 miles for the EVO), you're good to go.

Your positive about that? The sales rep made it sound like this was a decision by Mitsubishi, not his dealership. Do you know of a specific dealership that is offering the free maintenance on '05 EVO's? I'd like to give them a call to see what's going on here. Thanks.

positive, brother. pretty sure ALL dealership's are enrolled in it. don't see why they wouldn't be given the fact they get reimbursed for everything from Mitsubishi and still get the labor hours. all you gotta do is call around and ask the dealership's service department if they've enrolled in the free maintenance program for the month of October. your salesman is an idiot.

There isn't a separate section for the EVO in Free Maintenance Program. It's ALL NEW Mitsubishi's. The only thing different about the EVO on the Free Maintenance is the schedule. As opposed to the standard 7,500 mile maintenence, they've lowered it to 5,000 miles.

I'm pretty sure free maintenance is as long as car is purchased before 11/1/04. After that, I'm not sure, the website will only confirm the above date. I don't think it matters 04, or 05!

thanks
as long as you dont drive your evo hard, dont get stuck in slow moving traffic, or dont drive in temps that are above 92 degrees , than the free scheduled maintenance is worth it
