There will always be a little bit of a difference. The seats are not as wide as ours.

I think everyone on this site likes those seats better, nothin new. And yes, the JDM rear bumper is differernt than the USDM bumper, exactly why the exhaust shields don't fit on US evos.

Anyone know where to buy these seats in the US?
I e-mailed Japanparts.com and they told me they could get them, but they were like $3500 plus shipping. That's outragous, so I'm looking for looking for a US source. (less expensive!)

Bumper difference is due to the fact that US requires bigger crash bar than asia or europe. safety v. style...JDM bumpers look so much better.

the JDM MR seats are insanely priced and shipping here makes them even worse. One member here got a set from us several months ago - one of the nicest seats I have ever been in

You may wish to just get them re-upholstered.

For the record, they aren't very high-end Recaros. They're fairly low on the ladder, and it wouldn't be too expensive to source them direct.

Problem is Recaro Japan does not offer the MR Spec seat for public sale...we tried Only way to get it is from Mitsubishi Japan. The seats are not even sold complete...you literally need to buy the bottom, backrest, all hardware, tilt mechanism, etc etc.
