Short Ram Intake Or CAI?

I'm thinking about the CAI by Injen BUT I live in Vancouver and it rains alot! I'm wondering if the bypass valve helps out that much, or should I just go with the short ram intake? Differences in power gains? I need help guys. Thanks!

I hate to say it cuz I know what it's like to be new. So I'll be gentle before any of the mean people see your post.

Do a search for SRI and CAI. There are a bunch of threads debating them.

yeah, do a search man, it's a code of conduct here... but

I say, for weather purpose get a SRI... than when spring/summer comes around get a CAI. That's exactly what im doing.

Does Injen make a filter that isn't a chrome finish? I'm really not fond of chrome under my hood.

Well I'd go with Injen if they had blue or red.

make sure you tune your ECU for it. Otherwise your intake might make you lose power or really mess up your air/fuel sensor and you'll stall or run too rich or have partial throttle problems.

buy the kit, take it to a shop and tell them what you have...TurboXS and XS Engineering could do it for you among a million other shops who sells this EUTEC system, or a self-administered ECU tuning.
