Mine doesn't suck.

CAI is longer intake. Short Ram works fine.I noticed mycar was way quicker with RRM intake. For the money I feel it was the best choice. I got mine before the Carbon Shield. I order just the shield so now I have both. Looks really good. Everyone who sees it can't believe it is REAL CF!

My RRM Short Ram intake performs like a Champ, no complaints here/
Plus, I have spoken to Rock and he says he uses the same intake on his Race Car, so I think the performance is there!

The question is : Do you want a fancy intake or do you want a performance intake?

I have no idea what this is doing in show and shine.

b's answer is probably the one you were looking for. Short rams' filters are located IN the engine bay and pretty near the engine so they tend to pull in hotter air. On the other hand a CAI is usually positioned below and outside (in Injen's case in front of the driver's side wheel) the engine compartment. This allows for cooler air to be drawn in (hence the name). Pretty much that's exactly what b said with about 10x as many words.

Moving to engine tech. Please post in the correct forums or I'll steal your first born.

I'm trying not to be technical...seems most don't understand it

With a cai, you run a risk of sucking up water too. So if you can't drive avoid getting a cai.

Yeah...if you enjoy submerging the front quarter of your car then a CAI is not for you.
