ES suspension

Hi, I'm new to this forum. I have a 2002 Lancer ES and I'm thinking of lowering the ride height. I don't want a big drop - I just want to reduce the fender gap for 17" wheels. I don't want a significantly stiffer ride since I use the car everyday.

I did a search on the forums and I couldn't get a clear answer on what available springs and shocks for the ES are.

Can anyone help me out?

From: Up to 80 miles north of Gilroy
www.roadracemotorsports.com Scroll down to the Progress springs. Try just a wee bit harder next time.

Thanks for the info, but I've seen the Progress springs before and I think it's too low and, if it's stiffer than the ProKit, too harsh. I've read somewhere that H&R has a set too but I couldn't find any specs on it.

What about shocks?

Here's the deal: the ES shares the same suspension stuff with the mirage, and some brake stuff. It shares shocks, struts, springs, rotors, etc. So, when looking for suspension stuff, you gotta look for Mirage stuff. Might check out the Mirage forums for better listing.

I searched through the registry and I couldn't seem to find anyone who has installed Mirage suspension components into the ES. Has anyone tried this yet?

I found KYB AGX shocks and Eibach ProKit springs for the 97-01 Mirage.

Road//Race did an install, so, for springs, it's been confirmed. If I'm not mistaken, the Progress springs are indeed Mirage springs. As for the Struts, and the real meat of suspension, there have been part number comparisons, not hard installs as of yet.
