I got mine for 13,900 in feb it was an 04 with 25 miles sense it was at the dealer. I thought that was a good deal I didn't want the s&s package but I wasn't going to complain for 13,900. I was expecting to pay around 20,000 with the s&s package and all the other bs but they didn't even have the 05's in stock for some reason.

That's the real deal you want right there. See if you can find 04's that are still on the lot. You will get a hellova deal that way. Only problem with that is that you wont be able to choose exactly what you want, you will have to take whatever they have. BUT, it woudln't hurt to look because you may find the exact one you're looking for. The huge amount of money you can save that way is worth taking the extra time to look around. Maybe even put in some travel time to get it.

I SAY AGAIN: DO NOT BE SCARED OF MANUAL TRANSMISSION!!! IT IS NOT THAT HARD TO LEARN UNLESS YOU ARE A SERIOUS WOOS. IT IS ALSO NOT A PAIN LIKE YOUR DAD IS SAYING.

well also on that. the manual on the RA is one of the smoothest shifting cars I have driven. I've had passengers comment on how smooth it is between gears compared to my other cars.

Well, i've decided to go with Manual, I'll probably be getting my car within the next week or two Hopefully.

Planning on getting him to put a Evo8 Spolier, Mesh Inserts, Sports Pedals, Titanium Shift Knob upgrade... and i'm not too sure what the Aero Kit is that Arith was talking about, I can't find it .... But, i'll try for that.

When I went there the other day and told him about Mesh Inserts, he told me he didn't have a clue what they are (Even though they are in the book on the Lancer as a Acc)... and that I should get those myself. I think I might try a diff dealer.

But, i'm gonna tell him to go as low as he can go, and if he's being a *****, tell him he is either gonna sell me it decent, or not get a sale at all. I'm gonna aim for 35k, but if its about 38k, no biggy. Both cars are go ing to be black and identical.

I plan on possibly getting a better paint job sometime anyways.

Well good luck with you purchase. Honestly, with you having cash you have a lot of power. If you aren't getting what you want don't hesitate to go to another dealer.

Let us know how when you get the cars. Post some pics too.

i agree with what everyone is saying here you have the power to play with this dealer. You should lead him all the way up to buying the car and then back out and said you found another car cheaper see what he does?? someone also said that that looking for a 04 may be a good idea also which is true, around here in dec a mitsu dealer was giving 10,000 dollars off , weather true or not i don't know but it just shows how bad they want to get rid of them.also why don't you look on www.autotrader.com and look within a 50miles radius of where you live to just get a used ra maybe not from the some place but you may get both of your ra's for 30,000 or less, if you willing to take one with a little miles. but anyway let us know what happens?? it's always more interesting when a buyer has the dealer by the *****, usually we, well me is kissing the dealers *** to get a car.

Well, heres a question:
I know its probably not released or anything, but whats the differences going to be in the '06 and '05's? If any real difference?

Would it matter much if any? Hopefully it won't be anything huge that i'll die for.

I didn't have a lot of leverage when I bought mine. Not only were they brand new, but I had to buy a car. The engine on my only car blew up. I had no ride so I didn't really have the luxury of time to shop around like I would have liked. I had planned on getting a car 6 months down the line so I was slighly prepared but I wasn't ready right then.

Anyone have any suggestions or thoughts on these accessories, the only ones that seem "useful" to me.... and if I should get them thrown in, or if i'd be best getting it later, or not at all...

Door Sill Scuff Plate
Hyper Ground Cables

Thought there was alot more then that, oh well, those two are about the only two I dunno if they are worthwhile or not.

I needed a car bad so, I found an RA with 5k miles for $11k (they misprinted and i held them to it) plus it was a Ford dealership so... Whatever, i get mine back in 2 hours!!
