When I went there the other day and told him about Mesh Inserts, he told me he didn't have a clue what they are (Even though they are in the book on the Lancer as a Acc)... and that I should get those myself. I think I might try a diff dealer.

But, i'm gonna tell him to go as low as he can go, and if he's being a *****, tell him he is either gonna sell me it decent, or not get a sale at all. I'm gonna aim for 35k, but if its about 38k, no biggy. Both cars are go ing to be black and identical.

I plan on possibly getting a better paint job sometime anyways.
Go Diamond White (lol) but i think it's a really nice color.

Door Sill Scuff Plate
Hyper Ground Cables

Thought there was alot more then that, oh well, those two are about the only two I dunno if they are worthwhile or not.

The scuff plate is a nice touch. Ground cables are cool, especially if you plan on having a powerful system. Does Mitsu sell those? If so don't buy it from them. It's probably overpriced when you can find a better one in the aftermarket or even make it yourself.

Ground wires are ~ 400$ or something. Says the mitsu site

This might sound dumb, but honestly, since i've never driven a manual before, how easy is it to ruin the Clutch and whatever else can be messed up there, i'm not all sure how shifting works in a FWD just a RWD, but... how often does it mess up, and about how mcuh does it cost to fix it?

I've wondered that myself. I've had 7 cars since I was 16 and 3 have been stick. I've never messed up a clutch in any of them, including my first stick. I would think that you would have to really be grinding the gears and ride with the clutch pedal down a lot. Like I said, it really isn't that hard or annoying. It's only hard if you let it intimidate.

Not worried about it, my dad knows how to drive a clutch, and told me he'd come show me, lol. Thanks for the info on the clutch though, my dad was just telling me some of the things to worry about if I got one, and that i'd be replacing a clutch more often then a Auto Tranny and whatever else that messes up to do with the transmission/clutch, he just was saying it's cheaper when you buy it, but in the long run can be more from parts.

On a side note. I might call a few dealers tommarow, and maybe go down there for them to start finding out about my car .... I have my list pretty much set unless someone can think of anything else, in order of importance

OEM Lancer Evolution VIII Rear Spoiler
Tint
Mesh Grill
Shift Knob
Sports Pedals
Handbrake Lever
Door Sill Scuff Plate
Polished Stainless-Steel Exhaust Tip
Possibly - Sport Meter Kit, but not sure yet.

All the other Accessories are kinda worthless in my opinion...
First six in the list are musts, the ones after are just if they are cheap/thrown in.

Feel free to let me know if you have any suggestions, i'm going tommarow, or Friday.

Thanks.
I think I pretty much got it now, lol.
We'll see if I can get him to go with 35k, i'm not going higher then 38k, his 40k quote was with the Sun & Sound package, so...

The only thing I see a problem with, is getting them to do those options, and getting us two black cars as well, isn't it hard to find cars the right color, especially two with those options?

It shouldn't be. The options are just installed seperately after you purchase the colour of your choice with or without the S&S.

I just purchased a 2005 GG with S&S and it's pretty fun so far. Been reading, but not posting on the boards for awhile now. (Not trying to hi-jack your thread ^_^)

Well, basically, called the guy, and he told me that if I don't go there by tommarow, that the 3 year free maintenance warranty ends. I can't go there til I get the money on Friday. Anyone know if its true, or if he's just pulling my leg?
