RA's or a few others
Could use a few suggestions.
Well, i've always been looking at these forums for the past 3-4 weeks now, learned alot about the Ralliarts, done alot of research on my own and come to the decision that I like them more then any of the others it compares to. So I decided I would sign up finally, and ask a few questions so here goes...
To jump straight to the point, i'm looking at prices and trying to get a good deal on my Ralliarts, I am going to be paying straight cash, and also buying two of them.
As for options and things I am having added, I want them to put a Evo8 Spoiler, Tint the windows, Mesh Grill, etc.
Any other accessories I should have them throw on before I take it? Anything useful, that is?
I went there about a week ago, and the salesman was being pretty nice, but he also didn't seem to want to be very honest with me...told me he could give me them both for 40k out the door, 40,000 straight, and he kept grinning. First he forgot that they get a $1,500 rebate, and didn't "Add it in his numbers." Then he "Forgot I was going to be paying cash."
My main question is, is that a good deal? Should I try to get him to go lower? I understand he has to make some money, that's fine, but from how he sounded, and was acting, he could drop it quite a bit more.
Anyways, I live in Bakersfield, California, if that matters, any input would be much appreciative, thanks.

make him go lower. you have all the leverage man. you're willing to pay cash for 2 ralliarts?! i say bust his ***** man, make him earn that commish. hell, go to another dealer and tell him what this dealer quoted you and when he does better tell him you'll get back with him and then go back to the first dealer and quote him the other dealers quote. so he can try to beat that. kinda like when they say "i dunno if we can go that low, lemme ask my invisible sales mang. in the empty back room" LOL
Woah, do they really go to a empty back room? I went with a friend of my dad's, older lady, and the guy kept going to the back, she was buying a Toyota Sequoia, straight cash, haha. But he kept go ing to the back, at the end the manager DID come out, and he quoted her a price, in a few seconds I called him on it, and him and his little manager went back to the room, came out and said "Oops, we accidently added 2 of this, and 2 of that, instead of just putting the price of one."
I'm just kindof wondering how low its possible for them to go, what they get them for, if anyone knows.

I would get the sun & sound with the 6 disk in dash cd. If you are paying cash and getting two, I would get them to knock off $2-3000 from the sticker on each. I bought mine new when they first came out and I only got a $500 dicount. Out the door with tax, title & registrasion I was just a little over $20,000. He isn't doing you any favors for 2 at $40,000.
yeah watch them close man. remember sales are how they make their money and the more money they can get you to pay over dealer cost, the more money they make on commish. and by the way, ask around i'm not sure who it is but there is atleast one mitsu. dealer in here. i'm sure they know what the ralliarts cost for them to buy it from mitsu.

One thing I forgot to add, is it is going to be Auto, I wanted a Manual, but for being a first car, and all, I didn't really want to learn a Manual, how my dad makes it sound, its really annoying in traffic etc, and I wouldn't want to have to drive it off the lot, not knowing how to drive it :/

he can go lower. i worked as a lot attendant at a dealership for 2 weeks and let me tell you, dealers are the shadiest businessmen in the world. 40k for 2 is a rip off especially if you pay cash cuz they dont have to go thru a lot of the bs paperwork. plus you are doing them a favor and getting the ralliarts off the lot because 06 coming out soon PLUS mitsubishi isnt selling a lot of them any way.
