Might as well buy a wrecked evo and put the damn kit in it.
Teenagers messing with nitrous on new cars, being bought supercars by their mommies, and asking about "storcker" kits just boggles my mind...

Sorry for the double post...but....since when was a V Spec...considered a Super car?? i thought Super cars were pretty much cars unaffordable to the "average joe" and performing amazingly in every aspect of driving??....No offense to V Spec owners..but i wouldn't classify them a super car....

I really really really...hate it when people talk like that about "teenagers and blah blah blah"...its just dumb....my parents bought me my evo...We also used to be poor..and now the fact that my parents have money...want me to live well and be happy....I asked for a Civic Si and GTi's and such...but when i saw my garage open thats what was there...and i cried...b/c i know that i don't deserve my car more than any one else...i knwo it..i'll be the first to admit it..but what i don't like is when people like to compare their lives to the next guy stating as how he had it better/worse....Lifes never fair...otherwise people wouldn't die...theres just way to much stereo typing on these boards.....

He didn't say he wanted to run 12.5's as soon as he got th evo, he was just asking in the future so he could plan ahead. And it really depends on the person not on their effin age. It's immature in it's own right to assume someone will crash a car because they are young. I got my evo when I was 16 and I'm still alive, 17 now. I have 14,000 miles on my baby and have had 316 whp for the past 5k miles. I drive it every single day and in every bit of weather Michigan throws at me. I just hate when people are ****to kids that have evo's without any regard to how the individual treats their car, regardless of age.

Well anyway thanks for u all advise.
By the way that gusy was messing around, stroker kits are anywhere between 3 and 7 grand, most being closer to 3.

I would like to run a 12.5 at best cause i want it to be a daily driven car. About how much will i have to spend to get there.

And how much is that storcker kit 2.3 that made that guy 601 whp?
How old are you? did you call the insurance companies to find out how much your policy is going to be?

In the event that you get the car and the insurance keep in mind that the EVO is not too good on gas either..

Anyway, the EVO engine is much better for mods, the parts are soo much cheaper compare to similar parts on WRX/STI.

My PE650CC injectors for my WRX were $575 and that was very cheap(Ninosautoaccesories) you can get bigger injectors for less than $300 for the EVO.

The headers are very expensive on the STI, the Intercoler was very expensive on my WRX as well( $925 for a TurboXS TMIC) while you can get a huge EVO intercooler for around $600ish, basicly I found that the EVO upgrades are generally anywhere from 20% to 30% cheaper that if it would for the WRX/STI.

The most important factor to consider is to always remember that and EVO takes a few upgrades to make it very fast wether the WRX/STI takes thousands of dollars and many, many upgrades to make it fast .

The answer to your question on the 2.3l stroker kit, don't worry about it for now, they run around $1500-$1700 for the cheap one, other like JUN are into the thousands. It is to soon to start thinking of stroker kit, get yourself a nice basic bolt ons: MBC,TB,CAI,reflash then lets see what happens

your not the first,..ive already admitted to this as well...for I am one of these "teenagers who got a nice car from their mommy" 3 years ago when i got my Evo... people just dont realize that some people are more LUCKY than others...and im not bragging... i just think its the stupidest thing to bring up especially when it has nothing to do with these forums...

Any Evo enthusiast should have the right to post on these forums without people giving negative feedbacks.....no matter how dumb the person or his question is
