Which car takes mods better? Sti or Evo8

I know i know i should be looking around, but i am sick, i feel like Caca right now.

Anyway i am asking because my mom finally said i can have my choice of an sti or evo8. or any 05 model. Any way which car takes mods better

I would like to run a 12.5 at best cause i want it to be a daily driven car. About how much will i have to spend to get there.

And how much is that storcker kit 2.3 that made that guy 601 whp?

The sti still would be able to reach 12.5s but the evo would be more mod friendly if you're looking into a lower 1/4 mile time.

Why ask us, ask mommy which one to buy.

Or you could buy this evo https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/at...chmentid=69311 and save a lot of money and time buying one and having to wreck it.

both are more than capable of 12.5's. if a pure drag car is what you want get the STI- RWD biased but weak trannys. Evo- FWD biased( actually 50/50 if you leave it in tarmac) and weak clutches. Be prepared to spend lots of dough for either but there seems to be a lot more STI's than evo's out there.

STi's tranny is practicly bulletproof, were you thinking of the wrx tranny? Which is the complete oposite.

people have been modding the 4g63 engine for 16 years. evo is more mod friendly especially on your wallet.. or your moms wallet. <shrug>

Evo is much more responsive to mods than the sti. There are guys with 05 evos running 12.2@111 with only intake exhaust and a tune. That's under 1k in mods.

Get the STi, it has 300hp!!!!! No evo can keep up with a modded STi, because the 2.5L engine is just too strong. Get mommy yo buy the STi, and then ask her for $500 for mods = 12.5 all day.

Oh, the storcker kit is $30k...STi engine is still bigger than even a stroked evo engine. =(
