I will be retiring my silver 04' STi and get a new 05 Evo VIII. It has 36k miles on it and is in good shape. i was looking to get at least 25k for trade in value and pay off the remainder of the what i owed in less than 3 weeks time.

1) should I scrap the 0% financing and try to bring the price down (seeing that i will be paying it off the car before my 1st payments due )

2) What otd price should i start negotiations at?

3) What does ssl mean? ex: "i paid 34500 with ssl TTL"

4) Any other advice would be gratly appreciated, thanks.

 

SSL is the sound, sunroof, and leather package. Try for about 32000otd with ssl.

 

SSL is sounds security and leather package which I think is about 3K. For a non SSL car you shold be out the door for 29.5-30K. If you are paying it off before a payment then I would just worry about the price and not even care about the interest.

 

The official seems to be Sun, Sound, and Leather Package. If we get security in that, Ive never heard of it.

Yeah, that should be a good price for you man. SSL means leather seats Sunroof and Bis Sub in the trunk LOL.

Ok the SSL is Sun, Sound and Leather. It also comes with HIDS and fog lights. they are 32,500 and if you go with rebates it will be 31,500. Take the 0% if you can and pay 32,500. you will save more in the long run. I sent you a PM dirty sanchez. I hope it helps. Any more questions just pm me.

Where are you in California? Location matters a lot.

I picked up my non-SSL 05 GSR for 30K before tax on the 0% financing.

Shoot for invoice price. They should be willing to do something close to invoice with 0%. If you don't do the 0%, you can get a lower price. BTW, invoice was 29,500.

 

remember that if you dont get the SSL, you get no HID's... I went with SSL just for that. (Dont care for aftermarket HID kits).

SSL = Sun, Sound, Leather... no security. You get an "upgraded" sound system (not worth it IMO), sunroof, leather (seats are great!) and HID's. The HID's make the deal worth it for me.

I would shoot for ~$32,500 w/o TTL.
