Well I picked up my IX last week and I went to AMS yesterday and made an appointment for next week to get some Xmas presents for my car, Here is the list-

AMS TBE w/ test pipe
BPr7ES heat range 7 plugs
AFCII
MBC
AMS front mount intercooler
AMS Lower intercooler pipe
DSM 680cc/min inj. AMS Evo fuel rail
Evo/2g cone filter
2g filter adapter
AMS water inj.
Defi d-series boost gauge
AEM UEGO gauge
2- cf gauge cups
Forge DV
ARP 2g head studs
Walbro 2g 255 lph HP FP kit

Total installed and tuned $6587.71 Which reflects a GREAT discount from Eric, Thanks Eric!

I may need to do half next week and the other half 3-5 weeks later depending on what I can get out of Santa ( My Girlfriend ) , She already thinks I'm nuts for putting this much in to the car. I think shes jealous as I spend more time with the Evo than her. Am I the only one here who is obsessed with thier car?LOL

I only have 3k now after I dropped $32k for the car.

Maybe AMS could host pics and Dyno info of the build up?

Then in spring we will be doing an AMS GT35r and clutch.

I did 2 9s in the last 2 wks with ecutek reflash, on pump gas 334hp and 359hp. You might want to add that to the list.
One on a dynojet one on a mustang.

I've had my IX 2 weeks as of today. With just the following mods

Ecutek flash
Buschur DP
HKS Hi-Power cat-back
Forge MBC

I put down 340whp with 329ft lb of tq on TopSpeed's Dynojet. I've got a Works drop in arriving on Wednesday and probably next month will add the lower intercooler piping and then stop there.... 350whp on pump gas is very doable with a IX with under 2k total spent. According to to the tuner, it's the highest HP Evo they've dyno'd that didn't have cams in it. The IXs are beasts

im happy with this beast stock!

my only planned mods are:

1. remove the dealership sticker from back of car
2. replace the oem fog light bulbs with some nasty amber bulbs
3. maybe a set of springs to lower the car like an inch or so (not sure yet)

but i love the car the way it is, stock

I held out as long as I could lol, getting it reflashed early January.

Hey! I'm a new IX EB SSL owner. I'm not just new to the car. I'm new to all this performance upgrade thing, specially on a turbo beast like the Evo. Is there an all in one page here that explains what the different upgrades are and what it does? He'll, can someone pont me to the right direction about the Evo and what makes it special.

What kind of dyno does topspeed use? 340whp is a lot!

Can't speak for others, but this being my second EVO, I am not going to make the mistake of moding it and moding it, and damn near going bankrupt over it. Its crazy. I mean, its really like a addiction. The thing is, a true enthusiast is never satisfied, as I was at one time. After losing my VIII due to financial reasons, I told myself if I ever had the chance to get another EVO I would leave it stock and just appreciate the Genius of . I had an opportunity to pruchase a IX about a month ago, I did it to the dispise of my wife. Money is really tight with the car. Its just that, when you love cars like I do, you realize just having a car that is just that, a drivers, enthusiasts car, is the EVO right out of the box. Now, I am just greatful to have the car. I appreciate what it is, and what it can do. I can just enjoy it. I can put my kids in the back (with two car seats) go to a car show, and people get a kick out of a car of this caliber to have two car seats in the back. To me it adds to the appeal. Then, you have the warrraty. I mean a car of this caliber coming with a 10yr/100,000 warranty? I mean that is like unheard of in this market. 5yr/60,000 bumber to bumber? I mean, damn, who wants to mess with that, and when money is an issure, its nice to have that peace of mind. So, all you guys that just mod and mod, all power to you, and I enjoy to read it just as the next Evo reader does. For me, I am just to financially strapped, and family comes before car parts. Bottom liine. Jeff

Nice numbers. I'm planning to get flashed this spring and hopefully doug won't be too busy.

I find myself to be in the same boat as u. A warranty sounds good but 300+ whp also sounds good. I think I'll go with more power.
