You know, I kinda woundered that myself. Its not a dumb thread. I have always just said O-Z but I have also heard it as OZ (ozzy).

 

I didn't mean for it to be implied as a dumb thread. Just laughing because it had to be done. (I've started some real bad ones myself in other forums) as far as the OZ goes- I hear it going both ways also. I think that the ozzy is the street term for it kinda like 'Evo' and 'Evolution'.

I have always pronouced it 'O' 'Z' not ozzy.

If i'm not mistaken...it is named after the wheel company OZ racing and I have always heard it OZ.

yes it is named O-Z because of the rims, cause the 05s have different rims than the 04s but they are still OZs. and yes i get that all the time: "so is this the "oz" version?" but i dont want to be a dick and say "well its actually the O-Z" but yes it is pronounced O Z. most people that say oz are ones that have just seen the word and know nothing about the actual car.

It's a abbreviation of onza or "ounce" lol.

 

i jst say it seperately like "oh" Z but my friends wit da srt-4, 300zx TT, rsx-type s, and 3000gt (all much faster than my lancer ) call it a lancer sl0w Z rally though...lol
