Its a simple question, to all the new evo 9 MR people out there. When purchased your evo 9 and your tags exspired, how much did you pay for license plates? Just curious, because license plates on sports car are ridiculous. And when i purchase a new evo i want to leave enough money for plates. I know that every plate is different, just want to get an idea. Thanks.

 

Whaaaa??? Plates all cost the same regardless of the type of car. The amount it costs will depend on your state, but there's no reason it would cost more on an Evo than it would on a Ford Fiesta. The part that costs more is the sales tax, and that's dependent on the price of the car itself, not the type of car. You certainly don't have to budget the cost of your license plates when purchasing a $36k car.

 

Last time I checked the only differance in the plate is what kind of vehicle it is considered and sports car isn't in the list.

Something like:

1. Car (normal plate)
2. Truck
3. Bus
4. Omnibus

blah blah blah....

 

When i got my evo 9 i just transfered my plate it cost 8 dollars but when i renew in july ithing its 150 in MI

 

I bought my 9 MR Saturday Nov 5. Transferred the tags for a whopping.....wait for it.....wait for it...... 15 bucks. When mine expire in April I will pay around $50 or $85 depending on if I go normal or personalized. I'm thinking about EEVOXXX....what do you think?? or ??
