Hi to all, I recently purchased my 05 evo. I was contemplating between 350z and evo, ended up with my 05 evo. After serveral days of driving my EVO, I could'nt be happier.

One question, is there a proper method of break-in? I've searched and read but search is very vague. I just cruise under 3k RPM.

 

Read your owner's manual... You'll find your answer there. Keep it under 5K for the first 500 miles or so...

I assume its normal to see Heat waves coming out of the hood vent??

also vari your speed on freeways don't keep the speed at the same spot the whole time. proper breakin will lead to happier evo owners hehe!

 

That's point of the hood vent...heat dissipation.
