Ok, hold on. The very first thing you asked us was if you have to get this tuned to be reliable/safe, then you later get persnickity with me when I tell you that a UTEC is a tuning device acting like you obviously know that. Well, hey, if you knew that, why was your first question to us if you needed to get tuning? If the thing is tuned, it's tuned. Being "tuned" doesn't mean you've tuned it on a dyno. In fact, unless it's a load-bearing dyno (e.g. Mustang Dyno), then tuning on the dyno is not the best way. Road tuning is much better, because it provides the proper tune for actual driving. Tuning on a Dynojet, for example, gives you a tune that does not translate into a good tune on the street.

So, the problem is that you equate the term "tuning" with dyno'ing when they are completely separate entities. You _can_ tune on a dyno, but it is certainly not required. Road tuning is an excellent method.

My questions are these:
Do I have to get it tuned to be reliable/safe? Where in SC can I get this done? Also, what shops reflash the ecu and how much does this cost?

Also, what is the max psi I should run to keep it safe with these mods? This will be my everyday driver once I sell the Civic. I won't keep it there, just turn it up to this psi for races on weekends sometimes. It is now at 22 psi constant, is that okay?? He doesn't drive the car now, he's just holding it for me until the Vic gets sold.

Thanks for all the help, I will be posting here almost daily now that I am "approved" or whatever.
One thing not one person said...GET HEADSTUDS. Bigger turbo with more boost=headgasket goes boom.

I would be surprised if it didn't already have headstuds. There's probably a lot of mods he didn't mention due to not knowing every single one or just because it would be too annoying to type them all out.

I don't remember getting per-whatever with you OR saying that tuning only matters on a dyno. I merely asked if dynotuning was fully necessary. And thanks, you just answered that clearly. I don't EVER try to start anything on forums, man, cuz I think it's sad when people do. Sorry if I offended you somehow..
I do appreciate the help.

Also, I have been meaning to ask the owner if headstuds were already installed, cuz I know the stock studs have a tendency to stretch under the greater pressure of a bigger turbo. Thanks for the advice, guys.

No, that's the problem. You did NOT ask about dynotuning. You asked if TUNING was necessary. YOu later made it sound like tuning wasn't tuning unless it was on a dyno. thus, my later response. Maybe you thought you asked for dyno tuning, but you only asked if "tuning" was necessary. Your car should already be tuned, and it doesn't matter if a dyno was involved. The End.

Dude, okay...apparently this is a huge problem, I just don't care anymore. I have apologized repeatedly for no reason, but I will do it again...SORRY.
You were right, I was wrong, even though I agreed with everything you said, but whatever. Please stop harassing me about this.
