Evo 8 MR vs Evo 9 MR
I have owned both for about a year and still have the NSX. I am on my 3rd NSX so needless to say I think it is a great car.
However, the EVO is truly special as well. Yet the EVO had 2 more doors and nothing and I a mean nothing steers quite like an EVO. I have had 911's M Coupe, Viper GTS, Z06, S2000 etc. Sometimes you don't know what you've got till its gone.
I will likely have another EVO. Then again many of my past cars like the 968, M Coupe S2000 are cars worth holding on to. But the fun of the hobby is trying different stuff.
So if you are feeling the low wide exotic thing then an EVO won't do. Then you have a guy like me who is feeling the "get a simple toy that I can modify, not worry about getting dinged as much since it isn't all aluminum haul people" route then nothing besides and EVO will do.
Perhaps we should swap
Here are some pics of both together:

The NSX is assemble by hand and the engine is fully assembled by hand as well.
As far is the MR, well, there are no changes(performance wise) other than the Mivec and bigger turbo with better BOV.

Also,
Anyone in here ever owned a Acura NSX? How does it compare to the Evo? I currently own an 8 and am thinking about getting an NSX.

Basically the Typr R doesnt "outsteer" the EVO.
