Anyway, since you don't plan on racing (track racing that is
) your EVO, it would be criminal to ruin it's great road handling and street ride. BTW, have you had a chance to drive an MR yet? I mean in the twisties and such? For me the car has unbelievably good handling. No way I can get close to it's limits as it is in daily driving. In the twisties it's brilliant. You ought to finagle a drive in the MR someplace like the Tail of The Dragon in NC/TN or similar road... It's an eye opener for sure.

I have NOT had the pleasure of driving an MR! The funny thing is, both
dealers in Charlotte are WORTHLESS. I have made multiple calls to each trying to bring them MY business, but even the sales managers at both places don't know the difference between a VIII RS and an IX MR. Seriously.
That's why I've been getting prices on the MR from different states' dealers! The only hitch at this point is my trade-in.

and the salesman is Tim Crawley. He's a good guy, EVO owner himself. Those guys really want to sell cars... Give tim Crawley a call and see what he can do. Atlanta is not too far away from Charlotte and it might be just what you need
Oh yeah, you can drive your car down and trade it in at Rick Case, they do that stuff all the time.... I traded my '03 EVO VIII on the '05 MR and was able to do it pretty straighforwardly. No BS...(I insisted on that)
