Warr,
I think you are right on as usual. The guys I am going to for the low boost have seen the car before, the only thing is they haven't seen it since the cams/cam gears. I did some research on the AMS sight and it may have the stage 3 kit on it. I took off the cam gear cover and the cam gears are the Fidanza ones, they are set at 0. I am going to call AMS and see if they remember that car, there isn't too many around here. BTW the car has AMS stickers on the side and the fuel rail and injectors are AMS, hopefully they will be able to help out.

The boost problem was fixed, Thanks Chad (Dieman motorsports)! Now I need to send in the ECU for reflash. I pulled it last night and I am sending it to Dynoflash tomorrow. Is Fedex the best way? He said he flashes and resends the same day .

Yes, Fedex it overnight, and he will flash then overnight it back tomorrow.

So, what was causing the boost problem?

How was it fixed? I was boosting okay when I had the MBC on. I'm returning the car to stock in order to trade it in. With the stock setup, I can only boost 12-13 psi. Any ideas? The car was bought used in the first place can could never boost pass 12 psi w/o the MBC.

Thanks

i had the same problem, i bought a car at the dealership and was only boosting 11psi, i fixed it once i put the mbc on (6 months later)

i just think whoever the person prior to owning my car just swapped in some vac lines and called it a day. Dont you need mitsu lines for everything to work properly?

if your not using an MBC/EBC and using the stock setup it will NOT work properly unless you have the little metal beads in the line... so you have 2 choices... go buy new lines from mitsubishi.. i think theyre like 15-20$ not 100% since i ahvent needed them myself...

or ya go to napa get a few feet of vacuum hose and a mbc/ebc and let that up directly bypassing the stock unit.

CHEERS!

I'll check that out.
