Plus Ima trade in the already payed-off Galant and KBB says it's worth 5k so either I'll use that as part of the down or backup in case of an accident or something breaks..

+1 and honestly I ain't gonna lie when I first got off my feet and moved my parents helped me a lot with $$$ and moving etc plus co-signed even on the evo so I could get the 0% but depending on them would be a mistake!!! your young you need to grow up and I doubt you would keep the car 5 years most people trade every few years and as young as you are ins would be like 600/month

I am 14 y/o and next year when I am 15 1/2, I'm gonna try to get a job at my local Toyota dealership as a detailer. Not the detailer that paints cars but the kind that cleans the new cars and gets them ready for the customers. But anywyas, I start off at $7 an hour, and I can work 4 hours a day after school so that is $28 a day, and 6 days a week so that is $168. And $168 times 4 because there are four weeks in a moth is....$672 so that is more than enough for a mothly payment. Now, my mom said that she would take care of the down and I'll try to bargain with the dealer so I can get an IX for $27,000 without the SSL. So I'm just asking, does this sound right to you guys? Or should I wait until they mark down the IX's?

Edit: My mom will put down a $10k down so thatll make the monthly payment like about $350 and it's not going to be a daily driver, I'll drive it often but not so much that I would often have to replace the tires, clutch, brakes, etc. My mom will pay the insurance too....
I like how you edited your post. to answer your question though 7/hour eats **** keep looking you may be able to get something better something with a bonus program, comission or tips. Don't stay up too late I'm sure mommy has a strict bedtime for ya good luck

You might want a different car. Do you know how to drive stick? Can you cover insurance, gas or even simple mant.? I was in the same situation as you, saying 7 dollars an hour 5 days a week blah blah blah...doesnt work out like that sorry. Take an auto class at school and buy an WRX or a simpler car. Hell if you really want an evo bad, im sure your parents will go along and help you, but with a 7 dollar an hour, that isn't going to get you far. Good luck man.

Dude!!!An evo at the age of 15???An evo is a man's car...you need to learn how to drive before you get in a car like this...And anyways at your age the insurance company will rip you a new one with the monthly payment...you'll probable pay something like 8 or 9 hundred a month for just the car and insurance...gas money is another story, especially with the gas prices...think before you act...you'll make a mistake that you and your parents will regret...keep in mind, good things come to those who wait...

give the guy a break. i think its cool that you appreciate the evo and desire to have one. however, its alot of car to handle. i would be afraid of your safety. these cars are fast and require alot of attention and care. i suggest a 1g or 2g awd turbo eclipse or talon. i had that as a first car which still can be a beast but one STOCK you can learn more about turbo cars and their care, then step up to the plate with an evo. through my personal experience, this has allowed me to create a foundation of 4g63 knowledge without spending over 5k.
