Mine:

I mounted the remote display under the hood that shades the gauge cluster. Its just above the tach in my line of vision and is perfect. I never have to look up or to the side to see where the bogies are!

Depending on the laser gun, ambient light, cops aim, and placement of the jammer heads, your still pretty safe in the 300-800 foot range. In my experience they use laser at a range well over 500 feet giving me just enough time to slow down.

Nothing beats the look on a cops face as he scratches his head trying to figure out why it took so long to get a reading from your car. Most cops think that laser jammer don't work and never have heard of Veil.

Veil does leave a funky coating on your headlights, so it's not for everyone.

Its a Bel 935 or something like that (very competitive with V1: Slightly better detection on some bands, slightly less on others), and yes it had a rear facing sensor too.

Valentine 1 is consistently rated the best, but that is off topic....

Mount it in the center off the windshield with a clear line of site front and back....IMHO

The Bel RX65 and Escort 8500 X50 are the top dogs now

It comes with a kit for hard wiring. I tapped my power and ground to an auxilary powered wire i found in the drivers side kick panel and grounded it to some metal in the same area. The module was mounted just inside the dash on the left side. Then you just gotta use two line telephone cords (make sure they have FOUR pins) to run around various places in your car to mount remote displays, controls, and the main unit itself.

Veil Coating Applied

I just put on a coat of Veil on my Evo VIII's headlights and front plate this morning.

I did as suggested and taped off the area around the lights.

It makes the headlights look like they are slightly smoked, and it makes the (New Hampshire) plate (white color) look like it is dirty or greasy.

I am questioning how well the HID's will shine through the coating.

Maybe I put on to much, I don't think so though.

I'll have to check tonight.
